5/22 — FIERAS | A Palo Seco Flamenco Company

Thursday, May 22 at 7pm
at Irvington Theater | Get Directions →

Described by critics as "awesomely fiery" (NY Times) and "a feast for the eyes and the ears" (Theater Online), A Palo Seco Flamenco Company takes the stage with an international cast of top-flight Flamenco dancers and musicians in an original production directed by Rebeca Tomás. Taking inspiration from stories told by survivors of domestic violence, "FIERAS" uses the deep emotive force of Flamenco to explore the power of resilience within us all. “Fiera,” a Spanish and, more specifically, Flamenco expression, refers to a fierce female energy full of strength and force.

Performance runs 1 hour with an optional talkback to follow. This production is made possible by an Arts Westchester Arts Alive Grant.
